Deon Viljoen acted as Principal in charge of Pretorius and Viljoen Architects since 1984.

In 1992 the practice changed to Deoplan Architects cc.

Under Deon’s guidance, Deoplan Architects apply a great deal of precision and tenacity to provide its clients with nothing less than the highest quality expected. Deon himself is responsible for the initial project assessment and acts as executive program manager for all projects in office. Serving corporate, institutional and private clients.

With 30+ years experience, project responsibilities have included all aspects of project delivery services from concept development through to occupancy and post construction operations on projects up to R95 million in constructed values.

Its carefully considered approach to design and commitment to meeting the requirements of individual clients has led to the practice gaining a reputation for creating beautiful yet functional Health Care Centers, Retirement villages, and much more.

The practice remains at the forefront of design by exploring new forms, pushing the boundaries and evolving with technology, without compromising on the authenticity of the design, aesthetics, materials and originality.
